What We Believe

We are a Bible Church that has no creed but Christ and no authority but the Bible.

The Infallibility of Scripture. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Peter 1:21) For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

The Historical Creation of Man (Genesis 2:7) The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

The Sinful Nature of Man (Romans 7:18)
I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. (Jeremiah 17:9) The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

The Absolute Deity of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:9)

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. (John 1:1-2) In the beginning was the Word, and Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. (John 1:14) The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 14:7) If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him. (Philippians 2:5-8) Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped.

The Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 7:14)

Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Emanuel. (Luke 1:30, 34) But the angel said to her, "The Lord God will give him the throne of his father, David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." " How will this be?" Mary asked the angel," since I am a virgin?"

The Substitutionary Death of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:6)

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. (1 Peter 3:18) For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.

The Bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance; that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. (John 20:27) Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

The Literal Return of Jesus Christ to Earth (John 14:3)

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17) Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

The Resurrection & Assignment of All People To Heaven or Hell (John 5:28)

"Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out - those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned." (Revelation 20:10-15) And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (John 14:1-4) "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

Baptism (Acts 2:38)

"Peter replied, Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.  And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Communion (Acts 20:7)

"On the first day of the week we came together to break bread.."
